This note of interest from Donna O'Malley at UVM
There's an MLA SIG called Libraries in Curriculum which is meeting Tuesday morning May 25, 2010: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM in the Hilton Kalorama room, Lobby Level. It's for all kinds of curricula, not just medical, but it's an option if there's interest in discussing those types of topics. We don't have a topic yet, but these are some of our ideas:
Asynchronous instruction (podcasts, online tutorials, other?)
Do our students just need to learn how to do Evidence Based Practice? Or is there more to it?
Ideas for large-group instruction.
Newest innovations are at our institutions. The stuff that everyone is going to meetings about right now, but that hasn't been implemented yet.
