Improving assessment of evidence-based medicine skills in medical students. Med Educ. 2010 May;44(5):510-1
This article describes a study of 37 3rd year medical students enrolled in a 6-week EBM course. The course covers EBM theory, how to conduct a literature search, literature appraisal and application of what is learned.

Assessment of learning was done using a case study assignment and questions from the Fresno Test of EBM. Mean scores were 70.8% on the case study and 65.1% on the Fresno Test of EBM.

The conclusion was the Fresno test of EBM was successful in assessing EBM skills.

Have any members of the group helped to score the Fresno exam? The students in the EBM tutorial at the Brigham & Women's Hospital took the Fresno this fall but the faculty member is too busy to score it. Is this a role that we could play?
